I hope you guys don't mind me starting this thread, as I thought it might be interesting to see what her weight gain will be as the weeks and month's progress.
We took her to the vet 1 week after her arrival on 8/3 and on that day she weighed 22.8lbs. Dave weighed her about 10 days later and she had gained 7lbs ..... This morning I once again took her to the vet and her weigh in was 31lbs .... she is now 13 weeks old .... so it would seem she is growing very much in line with what is generally accepted. After leaving the vets this morning, I was rather concerned that she may be gaining weight and growing too quickly ..... as I've seen the problems a Dobe breeder friend of mine is currently experiencing with a pup of his

On the contrary, i'm very interested to see her growing chart , i will be experience it in a few months so it will be very educational for me and i'm sure for a lot of folks here too .

Cathy I would like to chart all the pups growth so we can compare them I have created an xcel spread sheet I have attempted to attach it here to the thread but it looks like only img files are allowed so I will create a PDF and then save as an IMG - I will offer to input the data as you guys post it in this thread - and then attach the spread sheet whenever its updated - how does that sound? please give puppy name how old and weight Don't say Buddy weighs 50 lbs today ok lol Attachments:

Great Cathy - I have corrected your User Id and Lilly's name - I think in the interest of saving space we will just use call names and not the whole registered name - but you can include in in the post of this thread every time you give me the new weigh and the ages
And I hope you don't mind I changed the title of the thread to Growth rate of all puppies.

Cathy...she is growing right on track... about 3-4 lbs a week up to 5 lbs a week... not unusual...
Saava was weighed at the vets office 9 days ago when he was just turning 12 weeks on thursday of that week and he was 32.4 lbs...
I have an appt. next week on tuesday the 23rd and he will be 14 weeks... I will weigh him again then and see what he has gained. He is growing like a weed! He barely fits in his crate that he was flown over in. He can ride in it the car still, but there is no pad in there now as he would not fit with a pad!
Gemma was 42 lbs at 16 weeks.. I am anxious to see what the "Saava baba' weighs in at when he is 16 weeks, because I think he is much larger than she was and I thought she was huge!

So how old was she when she weighed 22.8 lbs? was that close to 11 weeks? I will plug that number in the spreadsheet once you let me know how old she was -

She would have been 12 weeks Gail.... Saava was 12 weeks too... so he was 32.5 and she was 23...
wow.. big difference from a boy to a girl in this litter!

Gail this is awesome! cant wait to see the rest of the group's puppies progress in this spreadsheet.... especially Day's puppy which is also a Leo son... she wont have him till October but it will be interesting to see how similar or different he is.... very cool! you rock sistah!!

Do you want just current pups or some of us " old timers" to put up some figures as well??
I will give ya some of Lexis' measurments feel free to include or not include them :-)
Lexi - DOB 12/4/08
8 weeks 15lbs
10 weeks 22 lbs
18 weeks 44 lbs
26 weeks 62 lbs
1 yr 73 lbs
7/1/10 no weight but girth around chest 33 inches and from floor to top of shoulder blade 29 inches

Gail, she was 22.8 at 11 weeks .... I had her in to the Vet the week before her 12th week because we were behind on the DHPP shot .... We took her back 2days after her 12th week for the Rabies shot .... and that week she'd gained 7 lbs, so was 29lbs ..... I had her back to the vets yesterday because of a very bad upset stomach, and that was when she weighed 31lbs ....
