Gail will you add that Saava Baba is now.... 60 lbs.. at 17 weeks? huge, huge boy... yet he is totally lanky, long legged and I can see ribs... he is not 'heavy' at all, but enormous, massive bones... the boys feet are already bigger than Gemma and she is 90 lbs.. I am amazed at how massvie he is and how agile, and how athletic! He runs and chases her around all day long... he jumps and runs up and down the stairs all day long! He eats twice a day now.. he eats raw and kibble... 4 days of raw and three days of Orijen... he eats 2-3 cups twice a day and he eats 2.5-3.5 lbs of meat a day when he eats raw... the boy is a bruiser!

Cathy! can you weigh Lilly this week to see how close they are? Saava is 60 lbs on the nose... My husband weighed him today... I wonder how close Lil is? He was around 50 lbs at 16 weeks and he is just over 17 weeks now and up to 60 lbs!!! holy crap!!

Sure Diva, I'll get Dave to weigh her tomorrow and will put it up - she is also very athletic and runs us off our feet, although she is very laid back - we are still having socialization problems with her and Rex - so we have to keep them seperated most of the time - Rex hasn't done too well in that department ..... but we play ball and frisbee with her, and SHE LOVES to retrieve for us. She is going in her first Puppy match this coming Saturday - I'm putting her in the Obedience Trial as well as Conformation - this is ONE SMART little girl!! She presently eats 4 cups of Canidae Pure Blue Sky (All life stages) to which I add 1/2lb of turkey ground, cottage cheese and yoghurt and enjoys turkey necks 2x per week (2lbs). She also isn't fat, but very athletic and muscular looking - we boarded her and Rex with his breeder last week and Lilly was on average 10lbs heavier than any of the litter she had there that was only 1 week younger than Lilly .... I also took Lilly to her first Handlers Class with me last night and had some really favourable feedback from another Dobe guy who has Ch a couple of his own stock in AKC and CKC .... he said she had really nice feet, a good tail set, nice head, good topline etc etc (stuff we already know ;D ... and this coming from a Lex/Cash person .... has to say something .... albeit he was rather reluctant ... but still very complimentary .....

Way to Go Cath!! We are not doing any obedience or handling with Baba (saava's nic name now) but he is way laid back... he comes when called, he stops when I say NO once.. he is the opposite of Gemma! He is just the most easy going, mellow, happy guy and he is so sweet and just freakin adorable! Gemma was and is adorable too, but she has no "OFF" button.. she just does not switch off till she falls asleep and even then, sometimes if I wake up for a drink of something in the middle of the night, she will jump up if I open the fridge.. she is a complete fooder!! Food is everything to her and it is a funny thing because as a puppy she had NO food drive, only play and toy drive. I could get her to do anything for a toy or a game of tug... she would do back flips if I asked her too for a tug game... food was like "What? thats it?" now.. its like "whats that? ? I want it!!!"... whatever it is... Just about 98% of things I eat? she wants... its nutz... she had done a 180 as far as food goes. Baba, is just happy to do what you ask for anything... a treat? sure... .a toy? sure.... just because? sure! they are like night and day and Yin and Yang, which is really nice. They do get along very well.. she has her moments where she rips into him and scares the shit out of him and me...but she has not really hurt him... just scares teh beejezuz out of him... its her 'Come to Jesus meeting" every now and again. So he has his work cut out for him when he grows up.... speaking of growing up! Good lord.. the boy is more than half her size at 4 months... so we will have two very large Dobermanns' here.... Gemma is 94 and based on his weight now? He will be over 100 lbs probably around 105-110.... Gemma should be about 86-87 lbs... she is too heavy, but I simply cannot take the weight off of her. She is just husky... its how she is built... she takes after Me! So post some new pix of Ms Lil? here are some of Baba... Attachments:
