Tell your Legislator PUPS is a BAD BILL

PLEASE read this

There are good places to contact your White House Legislator about two good subjects. 1) PUPS (H.R. 835, S. 707) and the Excessive Lobbying of HSUS. The sites are secure, the message GETS to your representative in the White House. The sites are easy to navigate, just follow the directions and be patient.

And yet, out of the many,many thousands of dog owners and thousands of breeders, only less than 2000 have bothered, have taken the time to take those few moments to have their voices heard. And those supporting PUPS (HSUS & PETA) are biting at the heels of the 'lead' the opposers have made.

On 1/17/2012, two more Representatives joined the 192 PUPS Cosponsors.. . now 194. The cosponsors are signing from both sides of the aisle and are close to the house half-way mark... a majority. You can view the cosponsors list at

Pups is a dangerous bill giving way too much power over animal owners to the government - THIS IS THE FOOT IN THE DOOR that HSUS wants - they have been lobbying hard spending thousands of dollars of the funds donated to save dogs in shelters and who are being abused - this bill will not help a single dog - there are aleady laws on the books that USDA cannot adequately enforce with the huge commerical breeders - who is going to police someone producing 50 puppies? local animal control thats who, and there are already laws on the books for every local county A/C to enforce - PUPs will do nothing but give HSUS the foot in the door to next year or the year after lower that number of pups produce to 25 - which is only 2 litters a year - how many big breeders do you know that this threshold will be monitoring? NONE - this threshold will allow contol over the GOOD and responsible breeders who are the ones everyone says you should be doing your research and seeking out - applying USDA mandates for large commercial kennels to those that have only 2 to 4 litters a year will drive them out of the breeding business and you will be left with only BYBs who fly under the radar and the large commercial breeders who are producing thousands of pupps - If you all don't call your representatives NOW and tell them you OPPOSE pups - then I will be the first to say I TOLD YOU SO - when you start whining about not being able to find a good breeder and if you do find them they have a 5year waiting list and the pups will cost $5000. WAKE UP !!! please don't be so complacent and let the HSUS drive the good small breeder out of being the true guardian of our purebred dogs
