Pre-paring for puppy!!!

I am curious as to what other members have done to pre-pare for adding a new member to the family. It is exciting waiting for your pup to be born so while waiting what have some of you done to pre-pare your family and home for the arrival of the pup? Also, what items did you buy for the pup to pre-pare? I am looking forward to all your responses.

We had Rangers crate, blankets, feeding bowl and toys all ready for him before he got home.

We had toys, bowls, bedding(that was a waste though as they peed on it I would have been better with fleece blankets or something) crate, lead, collar and i also had food

Did all the same, however I did change food brands at the same time .... About a month before Lilly arrived, I started Rex on Canidae Pure Sky which is an all life stages food. I figured it would be easier to have both on the same food than to mess with puppy and adult foods .... and should the new puppy snack on his food it wouldn't matter and the same applied to Rex. Well as it turned out, she is a WAY WAY better, faster eater than Rex will ever be - and would eat her weight in food if I allowed her to, which means she eats in the Kitchen and he in Dave's study .... but its still way easier to dip out of one food bin than to struggle storing 2 large food bins in a cupboard ....

Went to the dollar store and bought alot of toys !!! beds, food, crate..toys and more toys. And also went to Goodwill and bought baby items as toys as well. hehe so much fun buying puppy things

Puppy huh??? lets see ........I guess I'd move out!! I couldn't handle a lil guy anymore other than those eyes looking up at me the rest is just to much for an old man all busted up now. Plus I have a 4year old huge puppy right now!!!! Hes doing his pillow decorating right now..................Pudgie Puppy! Von
