I simply do not know what these episodes of 'panic? pain? bad dream?" are... it's a conundrum at present and its making me concerned! Have you had her thyroid checked? That could explain the weight and her unusual behavior.

Six cups per dog? That sounds like a lot. My Samson is 65 lbs and gets 2 cups a day, so does Nala who is 50 lbs.
For snacks they get peanut butter stuffed bones...
I think it is to much too. aesa gets 3 cups a day and the boys two. Logan is 76lbs and apollo is right 90lbs, working to get good 5 lbs off him. Aesa weights around 69lbs. I just saw that Saava now weight over 90lbs with 7.5 month and so does gemma, i know yu don't lie when someone says something about It diva, but i still think, thats to much weight for both of them and having Savaa jumping with that kind of weight isn't very good either. Sure they are big dogs an they might heavier bond then others, but that is to much weght in my opinion and even if gemma hs another false pregnancy, that dosent mean she as to put on that much weight and she did, i saw the last pic's of her, she looks like she is ready to pop. Cut the food down and she will lose it in no time. Aesa had a small false pregnancy or so we think she did the first time, but she didn't put no weight on. others will tell you the same with more experience then i do with females . To much weight isn't good at all for them, not good for their health and not good for their joints in the long run. www.facebook.com/messages/?action=read&tid=id.265915486789326#!/photo.php?fbid=2550091943967&set=o.225966617457162&type=1&theater This is one of your own pic's and Both dogs look very much to heavy, i know we all love our dogs and we being kind of Biased, but you can't denied that they both needo lose sme weight. sorry if i offend you, but enough peple just being quiet and wont say something about it, you know me, i'm very straight forward and i agree with Von too, better put your foot down and set bondaries for little Saava or he wont take you serious about the gates you set up and everything else later on.

6 cup's 1'x a day or 1.5-2 lbs of raw meat on raw days... 2-3% of their body weight is the appropriate amount to feed any canine. in evenings, bully sticks or chicken jerky or a bone is given and a 1/2 sliced fresh apple a day, or watermelon as snack, and 1/4 cup of kefir or yogurt, an egg on kibble with chicken broth Holy sh*t! Hans is overweight at 82 lbs according to my vet and he got that way by eating 2 1/4 cups of food per day split into two feedings. He'd weigh 100 lbs in no time if he were getting 6 cups per day.

Its difficult to comment on her outline since her left rear leg is "inside" her left front leg! It should be slightly on the outside, a basic quick set up will have the rear legs slightly wider than the front ones, and do it on level ground. Yes you need some time to have her "step" into a nice stance and that involves time and an up beat attitude to keep the dogs spirit high. As for the dog the photo has her very long in the body and I'll guess shes not that long but is long non the less. She looks very short legged again the photo is distorted but again I can see her back on pasterns (genetics or weight or both) they are very short in length. She shows good bone and good rear angulations however her top line is down and again this could be genetic or weight!! Sorry young lady but your dogs are to heavy it shows in this picture and every other photo you've shown. Her top line sags badly, her body length attributes to it along with her short legs. I think you should find someone who knows how to stacl properly and get some good positions on file so that a decent evaluation can be given. I'm not trying to berate you and I'm damn sure not trying to hurt your dog but I know Dobermann conformation and viewing a dog as to the Standard Is Not an opinion its done in black n white the angles are clearly defined and there is NO if ands or buts about it. Thats why I think a fare and objective evaluation from decent photos is needed. If you really care about the breed you will leave your personal feelings for your owned dogs aside and deal with the reality. You didn't breed either one of these dogs to my knowledge so theres nothing personal said about them. To show dogs the first thing you need is thick skin for evaluations and take into consideration the experience and the knowledge the evaluator has. If its there in writing its tuff to deny, the Standard has no favorites and it doesn't own any dogs its just the blue print for the breed. She has some good points and she has some bad points if you want to know all you can post some or send me some and I'll be happy to give you my opinion. I know what the dogs are supposed to look like and I don't care what the current hot show dog looks like on either shore line. Look up the Standard and do your own evo and compare it to what more experienced people say. Then your actually learning something. Von
