Better get those ears back up! I like the crop though and that big black nose is adorable. Peggy Sue is such a good and gentle big sister. She could have defended her antler bone much more aggressively. I like the paw in the face to say, "This is mine."

Observe the ears when their down for cleanings and I hope your vigorously massaging them for how the lower ear is responding to the bridge. If the ears look strong its time to lengthen the bridge so that it has little to do with holding them at erect times and justs helps to keep the ears poised when relaxed. After the bridge has been extended a few times (maybe 2 to 3 weeks) its time to eliminate it. Also use less and less tape for posting them its time for the posting to be an assist and its her time to exercise them more. The left ear is weaker and where it bends thats were I'd put the bridge. An other words move the bridge up slightly from sitting on the head. Are you posting for 10 days or are you taking them down after 4 or 5?? Von
I don't care how nicely their getting along now that pup will have size pretty soon and its time for two bones or two of anything very soon. Bitches are Bitches and you don't know yet how its going to go with them. You haven't gone into a season yet or have them at equal eye height so be aware and don't be foolish. Don't assume they'll always behave together they are dogs and two bitches can get just as stubborn as males when its time to figure out whos who. Be smart and observe body language and eyes.

Gotcha about the sores but if they can stay up for 8 to 10 days thats really the best remedy. I posted Dobermanns for over 50 years now and always posted long durations baring wet or sores etc. That left ear low is a trouble spot and stimulating that area with massages using a little spot of mineral oil will benefit her. Make sure the ear is complately dry before repost. Von

Yes it is don't be afraid to give them a good stretch and work the ear in all direction your looking to increase and encourage blood flow. Again dry them well before you post and try to use less tape, keep the tips down on the tip of the post material so the top of the crop stands erect also. That folded look on some tips from Europe is a sloppy look and can't imagine how that started, terrible. Keep working you'll be done with it soon enough. Von

Dia: those were adorable!! Peggy Sue is a Princessa and should be given a merit badge of honor for her patience with that baby.... Gemma would have ripped Baba's face off... he is scarred up already from her... everywhere! She is a Capital "B I T C H"... QUEEN BITCH! I admire the demeanor that Peggy sue has and wish Gemma had just half as much and it would be an improvement on how she is with Baba. Beautiful girls and great video, gracias for sharing, Mijita-cita!

Von Von, on the left ear she has an indentation ,behind and above the natural fold , the vet that cropped her ears said to put a piece of gauze when reposting to keep that straight , i tried doing that but the post pop out of the ear in less than 3 hours after posting , do you think putting the gauze is necessary ? i think massaging and stretching the ear really well would take care of that problem don't you ? I'll take a pic next time i repost .

Hes suggesting to "fill it in" and thats not a bad idea. To get it to stay positioned make it part of the post, tape it on the post then position it. Many times they get a natural cave and its just the way the leather is and how they react to the crop. You can also tape up the edge with one piece of tape long enought to go slightly below the bend and above the bend (one inch) that can also help the ear to stay straight and give the cartilage a chance to relax and not cause the bend or the cave in. Its alot of work but its only a short amount of time once its done and we never give up, never!! When you get a chance show some pics from different angles of her ear so I can see exactly whats going on. Von
