On Oct. 5 a resident on Rio Grande Drive reported a possible attempted burglary. Upon arriving home from work, the resident stated that the family's Doberman dog was acting nervous and had "marked" the residence in a couple of spots and was lying near the front door, both of which were out of character for the pet. The resident noticed that the portion of the door near the lock area had been broken. It appeared that someone had attempted to unsuccessfully gain entry into the home. The resident suspected that the dog had likely reacted and scared the suspected intruder away from the house. johnscreek.patch.com/articles/jc-police-blotter
