Welcome To The Dobermann Station!
Membership here is your Ticket to ride on the Friendliest Dobermann Community on the Web with the most experienced founding members to provide help and support. The Dobermann Station is an international forum created to celebrate the magnificent Dobermann breed and to help educate anyone who wants to learn more about them. Our goal in creating this forum is to provide a friendly, social online community where members are encouraged to ask questions, share their experiences and opinions on all issues related to owning, training, showing and breeding the Dobermann.
The Dobermann Station does not condone the breeding of WZ factored nor white Dobermanns. We expect responsible breeders to follow the Code of Ethics, Breed Standards and Breeding Guidelines as published by the AKC/DPCA in the USA, FCI/DV in Europe and all other foreign breed organizations.

Policies & Procedures:
Foremost, The Dobermann Station (DS), its services, content, features and forums are intended as places where Dobermann fanciers can exchange and post information pertaining to the breed. We have owners from all over the world working together to better educate and help fellow owners. This site is a mix of experienced and inexperienced owners. Our goal is to help every owner take the best possible care of their dog(s) and understand the breed’s standard, its inherent natural protection characteristics and behaviors.
This section of The Dobermann Station has been specifically created to grant all site visitors and forum participants a clear idea of what is expected of them as members. These sections explain the rules, guidelines, and regulations that are to be followed when using or participating on this forum. Every user that registers is held accountable for their own knowledge of the following sections. Using The Dobermann Station in any fashion requires that all registered users have familiarized themselves with the Terms of Service i.e. the rules, guidelines, and legalities that members agree to abide by.
The Dobermann Station administrative agents reserve the right to modify these rules at any time deemed necessary without any prior written notice. A Forum notice will be posted immediately following any changes to the Terms of Service. It is your responsibility to keep up with any changes that are made to ensure that you abide by these terms at all times.
Rules and Regulations
On behalf of the Administrators, Moderators, and members of www.thedobermannstation.com , welcome to our forum. Please be aware of the following rules and regulations regarding usage and membership to this forum. The Dobermann Station prides itself on being one of the premier doberman forums on the Internet. As such, it’s important that we keep the site as friendly and on-topic as possible. The following rules outline how we try to keep this a place where everyone feels welcome and comfortable to participate. Enjoy your stay!
User Conduct
1. Attacks on moderators will not be tolerated, and may result in an immediate permanent ban. Moderators sometimes have to make difficult judgment calls, but remember we *are* human (well at least try very hard to act human and not dobermann!) Hopefully we'll make decisions that are considered "correct" by the majority of the community. Do not post complaints, criticisms, or moderation questions on the forum. These posts will be deleted and no explanation will be given. If you have a concern about a particular moderator, or posted content please send a private message to an Administrator or use the Report Post button (looks like a YIELD sign with an !) located at the Upper Right corner of the post in question. And if you have constructive suggestions on improvements that can be help the forum, please post them in the Ask the Admins area.
2. Keep in mind that this forum is not a democracy. We have the right to refuse service to anyone. If you make yourself too big of a pain in the butt to the moderating community or otherwise act in a fashion that will reflect negatively on the forum or on the breed, your membership may be revoked.
3. This is not a site where bashing or trashing of other forums, gossip, or rude behavior will be tolerated, so please do not engage in such. . If you want to talk about something that happened on another forum (drama)- take it to PM. No distinction will be made between the instigator and those who merely participate helping to fan the flames
4. Personal attacks against any person, whether they are a forum member or not, will not be tolerated. Nor will any type of "trolling" posting to start drama or instigate a fight be allowed. This includes political attacks, slurs, or sneering at any viewpoint or political party.
5. No racist, homophobic, or misogynistic remarks, including derogatory slang, be it overt or covert, will be tolerated.
6. Do not make posts about anything which can be defined or deemed to be statutorily illegal. This includes, but is not limited to: death threats, terroristic threats, threats of harm to another individual, multi-level marketing schemes, "ponzi schemes", invasion of privacy, credit card fraud, racketeering, defamation, slander, libel and other common illegal activities.
7. Members are guaranteed free speech under our constitution. However, that does not entitle you to be rude or disrespectful. All member posts must be respectful. You are certainly encouraged to state your opinion, but it must be done respectfully. Politeness is a bit of a broad term, but all posts will be moderated to ensure that they are polite and respectful.
An example would be disrespecting dobermann owners who choose to crop over those that prefer natural dobes or vice versa. Members will not be allowed to be condecending or judgmental for their choice of organization/activity/showing/trialing/training endeavor. This forum will not tolerate an elitist intolerant attitude. If a moderator believes you are being purposefully disrespectful to a fellow member, you will be sent a WARNING.
8. Don't make libelous accusations. If you have a problem with another member/ kennel/ or person, and cannot provide documentation of proof, don’t bring it into the forum. It could be treated as grounds for a lawsuit if you do. Posts with accusations but no proof will be deleted, and the poster will be WARNED.
9. The forum strives to maintain a friendly, adult atmosphere for its members. No sexually explicit material, nudity, or graphic violence will be posted on The Dobermann Station. The forum standard is that if it's something you wouldn't see on network TV, don't post it. If you have to ask yourself if it might be offensive to some members – don’t post it. Do not use vulgarity in the title of the thread. Inside a thread, profanity will only be allowed if used in a controlled manner, and not directed at a particular forum member. Again, just try and be respectful and considerate of other forum members.
10. Attacks on members new to the breed will not be tolerated. Remember we were all new to the breed at one time – the goal is to welcome everyone – and to look at each new member as an opportunity to be a Dobermann Educational Ambassador.
11. Do not post a thread solely aimed at getting the attention of another forum member (i.e. posting ATTENTION FRED SMITH!) The forum provides a private messaging system for contacting individual forum members.
12. Posts soliciting for multilevel marketing schemes (e.g. Free Ipod or similar) are not allowed.
13. Multiple posts about the same thing across many forums are considered "spamming" the site and will result in the poster being WARNED.
14. Please include a descriptive subject for your thread. People shouldn't have to open the thread to find out what the topic is!
15. Do not deliberately inflate your post count, aka "post-whoring" by responding to a thread with multiple responses when one would do, or "contributing" to threads with a constant string of "me to" or "yeah!" type comments. Deliberately inflating one's post count does nothing but waste server space and turn otherwise useful threads into impossible to navigate pages of junk.
16. Controversial subjects which are likely to start heated debates i.e Religious or political related posts may be posted in the forum labled “Steam Engine” (you must opt-in to this forum, **coming soon**). These topics are prohibited anywhere else on the forum. Experience with the forum has proven that political or religious discussions inevitably become flame fests, which are prohibited (see the rules above).
17. Items may be posted for sale in the “Classifieds” forum.
18. Litter announcements and photo updates are allowed by breeders who have been contributing members participating in The Doberman Station community for six months. Litter announcements will not contain any links or contact information nor any wording that could be construed as solicitation for puppy buyers.
19. There are many doberman related communities on the internet – there is room for all of us, but we do ask that you do not link other doberman forums in your posts. We have worked hard to create a repository of eduational information on this site and prefer you not refer people to another doberman forum for educational or resource material. Links to informational and educational sites are of course welcome. The Staff at The Dobermann Station welcomes your request for any information that we may not have yet provided.
20. The Dobermann Station has a very useful search feature. Many questions that new members might have will already have been answered - we recommend that you do a search first to see if someone has already provided an answer to your question.
21. It is expressly forbidden for any content contained on The Dobermann Station to be copied and posted or shared outside the forum to cause drama or pot stirring. HOWEVER you are allowed to use the share link to FaceBook and other social networking sites via the links provided on this forum.
How We Handle User Violations
1. Failure to comply with ANY of the Forum rules may result in disciplinary actions being taken against you, to include WARNINGS and eventual BANNING. Any member who receives 2 or more warnings may be banned from The Dobermann Station. With receipt of a second WARNING the member will be “dog housed” and placed on 30 days probation. Receipt of a 3rd WARNING may cause immediate Banning.
2. Warnings will be given out by Admins or Moderators when forum rules are violated. If you receive a warning, you will get a PM explaining the rule you violated, and will typically include a copy of the post that caused the problem. This system allows the recipient as well as forum staff members a future reference when determining a pattern of repeat behaviors. All warnings are shared with other moderators and with forum administration to insure our use of this system is fair and impartial.
3. If you're banned, do not register with another ID -- we *will* find out eventually, ban you again, and we may take further action, including the possibility of contacting your ISP to report the violation of our Terms of Service. Violations could possibly constitute violation of federal charges.
4. The forum Administrators and Moderators retain the right to modify, edit, move, or delete any posts made on the forum by virtue of their position and in compliance with the aforementioned standards. Further, if you continually or repeatedly violate the rules of the forum, your account will be banned.
5. Before we un-ban someone who wants back, we may require they provide a verifiable real name, age, address, and phone number. Only when we verify this info will we consider them returning to The Doberman Station. The reasoning for this removes the anonymity of the Internet and may lead to people who have been banned thinking twice before they start becoming a forum trouble maker again.
6. Finally, please don't "start a crusade" to get a banned member reinstated - they did it to themselves, and crusading to get them returned in open forum or group may do more harm than good and could cause you to earn a WARNING too. If you have an issue with a member being banned, take it up privately with the forum Administration, don't start threads about it. Remember, this is not a democracy, and forming a posse will NOT help you or the banned member. We want all of our members to enjoy their time here. Those who refuse to abide by these policies are asked to find a venue that suits them better, rather than create problems for our members and staff.
