I am also confused.... since when were you unanimously appointed and or elected as the "Police warden" of what is said in or on any of the forum's ?
Since when did you take that job upon yourself?
Its a pretty hefty responsibility and a pretty exalted egoistic view of your "role" here or anywhere else on the internet..... of course thats just in my humble view.
What I have supplied here is facts... facts and articles that support a certain view about a specific controversy...
I have posted valid, factual and scientifically supported information about the controversy... the controversy is raging in the forums and is as it should be...
There is no where in any of these posts that you would have read that "DIVA SAID" YOU SHOULD ALL stop vaccinating... Not once...

what you did read was the factual information, articles and videos' that attest to the DOCTORS who recommend STOPPING vaccinating.
Since when did that become a problem on a forum especially one that is an open forum with open stage for all information?
If someone out there who is a 'novice' follows the links, and reads the articles and comes to the same or any conclusions I came to and follows their heart... GOD BLESS THEM.
You NOR I are the authorities here. I most certainly did not propose that I was or am anything of that nature. I posted OTHER PEOPLE"S due diligence on the subject and that is for anyones perusal and library of information on a subject that is very dear to me and that it is the OPTIMUM health of my four legged family members and I know that everyone here feels the self same way...
You and I both are on the same page... , but somehow for some reason... you have found a way to take onus with every single post I have ever posted since day one on (another forum)....
You have been at odds with me, since a year ago because you find the information I post to be 'controversial" and quite frankly that is your problem not mine.
The information I have posted is always an article, a website, a scientific discussion or something that is backed up by science and not merely my opinion.
but without fail... on every turn, You have pointed fingers at me on a regular basis and I have come to realize you simply do not like what I have to say about anything....
Its weird really since you do not argue about the validity of the article, you argue about my opinion about the Article....
I think its time you took your onus up with the authors of the information I have posted and stop finding fault with what I choose to see as a valuable contribution to a forum where people love the same breed as I do and also love their four legged family members as much as I do....
why dont you email Dr. Jordon and ask her yourself about this stuff since its HER 25 years of due diligence you are taking offence at.... NOT my opinion.
I have stated that I am moving out of this 'Church of Vaccination" because of this science and these articles and this evidence that is overwhelming to me... Its also painful for me to think that all these years I have been poisoning my beloved pets and that the shit they died or that cut their lives short.. of might have been 'induced by Me'.... that effing kills me.... so please take your onus of my articles and valuable information up wiht those who authored it and not me... do your own due diligence and disprove it or not...
I came to this forum actually to try to get away from you and your 'offensive' position against me on every turn.
Its been so common of an occurrance that I simply do not show up on the forums anymore as I did before because I know you are going to jump on the fence and start pointing fingers at me over something I have posted.. whether it be raw feeding, training, size of dobermans, conformation, breeding, and now vaccinations.
I think your position is on shaky ground since you have not once read the entire article, not asked the author of the article to prove their points, you have not taken it upon yourself do do ANY DUE DILIGENCE regarding this controversy... you simply recant what you have 'believed was true' based on what you belief system is... which is believing that everything you know or have known about what you know about dogs is 'facts'.....
clearly its not....
your knowledge is based on old outdated mythological, ideologies that were passed along to Veterinarians by the Drug companies who trained them on the values, merits, benefits and profit margins that Vaccines provide.... not based on facts... just the facts as presented by the 'Drug Companies' and they are not there to help you or me or our pets... they are there to make a profit and at any cost... that is a fact. Like it? dont like it? it does not matter to me...
Do your own due diligence and stop recanting what you THINK you know about something as seriously flawed as Vaccinationology....

I do not dislike you and I know you love and are as devoted to yours are I am to mine... we just see the manner in which we go about that differently.

Diva, thank you for the continued research you've done! That letter was definitely 'Food for thought!' in my book!
Like so many of you, I simply HATE to vaccinate our dogs KNOWING that the mere act of it can add to the problems so many face today. I follow a 'minimal' vaccination protocol on my dogs as is 'required' of me to keep me out of the lime-light of my local A/C. Just the sheer fact that I have 'working dobermanns' keeps the light shining bright on my home...
It is my sincere hope/wish/dream that the local Veterinary University close to me will alter their outlook on the vaccination protocols so that I can take this info to my local County Authorities to get them to change THEIR protocols as well. Until that time, I am forced to follow the minimal rules of the unknowing, and can only hope that my breeding stock if of tough enough genetics to continue to pull it off with long, healthy lives!
Please keep up the research and keep us all informed! The more info we have, the better armed we are to face the 'unknowing authorities' that are ruling our lives!!!

I don't think Suzan is 'self-appointing' herself here on the matter, dear. I think it was just a statement of some confusion as to your earlier stand on the vaccine matter. I believe we are all on the same page here. Looking for more info, more ammo, more means to be able to LEGALLY stand our ground and help inform others.

I appreciate everyone's hard research on this subject. Many of us have lost our beloved dogs DIRECTLY due to this very issue! Hopefully we can help others avoid this in the future......

GemmaRose - I have read your articles and agree that ALL info is good and informatative. You have told people not to vaccinate their dog Linus for example. I can get the quote for you if you prefer and it is telling someone else not to vaccinate that is a huge responsiblity as it could be putting their dogs at risk. I only stated that we need to use moderation until it is all settled and confirmed.

I am sorry if you feel not agreeing with you 100% is egostical or self appointing. I have agreed with Gail on this issue and stated so - so it was not just my self proclaimed self serving opinion. I know that as in all things you read you are 100% confinced it is the ultimate and only answer or I thought you were until you stated that you are confised on it now?

I am sorry if you found that statement alarming but to tell someone not to vaccinate and then to turn around and say that you are confused on the issue really threw me.

As to my role here or anywhere I am a member and can express an opinion as any other member as long as I follow the rules which I try to do. On this particular group I have several very dear friends whose support and friendship means a lot to me. We have shared a lot especially starting with the loss of Demon and many other issues that we shared. You don't just throw friendships like that away because you get your fearthers ruffled. At least I don't even if we dont' agree on every single issue.

My question remains - if dogs are kept at home then they might be OK to follow the no vaccine protocol but if they trail, show, travel or leave their property in any way then isn't the risk for communicable disease increased and hence the risk of an outbreak of a previously controlled disease through vaccine would become more prevalent Right?

We did have the disease before we had the vaccine. The disease did kill dogs. The vaccine did stop the spread. Aren't these facts to consider? Or are they incorrect???

I hope this debate can continue as it is very very educational for all concerned and then we each have to make our own choices for our own dogs.

This statistic is just one breeder - but its not an assmption nor is it a leap of faith, it is historical evidence and FACT. I have done my "due dilligence" and learned from other breeder choices which have led to horrific loss of life - entire litters lost! If by following my current protocol at the end of 30 years I end up loosing 1 or 2 pups to parvo even in the face of vaccinating them, I will stack my record up against those who do not vaccinate.

We all want the same thing a healthy puppy who lives a long time. Following Dr. Dodds vaccination protocol - I have more Longevity Certificates than most in this breed - that too is a FACT.

I do have the blessing of having been in this a long time, so that I have the security and assurance of a track record that has worked well for me. I can see Susie's position - and its not lack of understanding that keeps me from being converted to the Religion of "NO Vaccines" its the lack of conviction to willingly risk the life of a puppy that would have lived if it had received some vaccines.

I do agree that it would be great to wait as along as possible to vaccinate -16 weeks for the first shot seems reasonable to me - but, I don't think puppy buyers will want to wait that long to take their puppies home.

I do avoid the vets office unless absolutley necessary and then I take a towel to put down on the exam table. untl the last shot at 16 weeks - my pups feet never touch the floor at the vets and I take a towel for the exam table.

I am sorry but statistically this has not proven true in my breeding program, nor in the dozen or so good dog breeder friends I have.

Very well stated Gial. I wholeheartedly agreed and it is the same protocol I have followed and will continue to follow.
