I have to tell you the truth - I am on overload with all these opinions telling us what we should not do - I am not seeing any vet stepping up and saying what they recommend for the average dog owner going forward.
Its like telling people in poor nations not to drink the water cause it will make them sick - well if they don't drink some water they will get dehydrated and die -
Susie do you think you can try and summarize the reccomendations being made by those vets that are ringing the alarm? I know you are like me and can use 100 words when 10 will do - but if I am overwhelmed and confused - I am positive the average pet / companion owner is even more so.
Lets see if we can pull together a focused synopsis - or summary to help those that need a Pet Vaccinations for Dummies approach. What do you think? can we do this, cause GF I got a splitting headache just trying to absorb all the information.

Gail: Do not try to assimilate it all at once..... stop... BREATHE..... do chores... rest... relax.. come back to it later! Its not like the whole world will end if you do not assimilate ALL of this at once. Get a feel for it.... you are FAR better at this than I am! FAR better..... I am posting it for purusal by anyone and everyone here who is interested and hoping to get people who read the articles and pose questions and ideas and similar threads and add too and embellish here. I am not the only one.... I got feedback on my various posts in the various facebook forums and I had four people all tell me.. WE NEVER VACCINATE.... NEVER and have healthy happy dogs! I was surprised how well and readily it was received! Riley Doberman was the most enthusiastic and has been NOT vaccinating for the longest! she said she had not vaccinated a dog in 20 years.... she is from Australia.... The general theme here is simple.... 90% of our immune system is in the gut! people and all living things.... the healthy ebb and flow of that environment is what makes or breaks a immune system... not a vaccination. A vaccination runs parallel to the 'Homeopathic' school of thought, but it assumes that 'stronger is better'.... so injecting a young being with a newly forming immune system with a small amount of a toxin will cause the body to form 'ANTI bodies' against it..... but the body can form anti bodies against anything as along as the immune system is healthy... ergo.. the intestines and the gut are full of enzymes and friendly bacteria that breaks everything in the system down into things that work for the body or work against it. I am getting that Homeopathic doctors are recommending homeopathic 'remedies' against things like Parvo... or any other illness work much much better than 'vaccinations'.... I am also reading that some Doctors agree that juvenile vaccinations once done at an age that is in between when the dogs immune system is mature and yet, not when its still immature are best and singular vaccines and NOT formula's like DHLPP etc..... a single killed vaccine of PARVO given at 12-16 weeks is the least offensive or deterimental of the vaccines IF you are going to give one.... but the argument is still that the only GOOD Vaccine is NO vaccine... the belief rests on the fact that the body can and will fight off anything and everything IF it has the correct nutrition and biological nutrients it needs to run.... so I am going to continue to research this stuff and continue to inquire and read and also ask questions of those Doctors who are posting this stuff and get to the evidence part and the protocol's that they recommend and pass that along!  |
