Can anyone tell me who is the person who i would go to if i wanted some info on history of the dobermann.
I'm not looking for the Louis Dobermann history, im looking for other bits of history on the breed.
Is there anyone who up to speed on loads of info?

Depends on what history info you are looking for. We have several people here that have specialized interests in our beloved breed. American lines and showing? Working info? Genetics and health? The European/American development? If you could be a little more specific, I'm sure someone here would be more than happy to assist you.

If you are looking for american history I love this website americandobermanpinschereducationalfoundation.org/if you are looking for more Euro history on kennels and breeding programs then The Doberman Review is a great source for articles written about the oldest and most influential breeders. They have a great library. If you have not read Phillip Gruenig's book I would highly suggest it to anyone who is interested in the origins of the breed and the breeders who greatly influenced the development of the breed www.dobermann-review.com/info_library/OH and I love to talk pedigrees and health - so can't wait to hear back from you
