After reading a few websites on bloat first aid, the only thing I would feel comfortable doing is giving the dog gas-x and running to the hospital. I can't imagine running a tube down their throat to relieve the pressure and I think it is ill advised for people without proper training to do so. Best thing, A blanket so two people can comfortably carry a larger dog, gas-x and a cell phone to call the emergency clinic.

I keep Gas-X on hand as well.
I've also started putting water on their dog food so they don't feel the need to eat then gulp down a bunch of water. I usually let them have dry food 2-3 times a week though because I noticed with giving the wet food everyday I had to start brushing Daphne's teeth because her breath got rank.

Somewhere in there would have to be a Valium for me.
