Even when we think we have covered all the bases - with a new forum, new situations will arise. It has come to our attention that in our Terms of Service - Policy & Proceedures we neglected to include an Advertising Policy. Please read Amendment No. 1 below.
No selling of products or services is allowed on The Dobermann Station.
The Dobermann Station Forums is an informational, educational and conversational forum - and as such will not permit self promotion in any shape or form. Posts in the discussion forums directly or indirectly promoting or advertising personal websites selling Products, kennels, dogs, jobs, items or services for sale will be removed at the discretion of the administrative staff.
Messages or discussions posted within forums on The Dobermann Station may contain links to informational or educational web sites. Participating forum members ARE ALLOWED to post first hand, first person experiences or recommendations regarding breeders, kennels, or vendors as well as links to their websites. We value our members and their vendor experiences and appreciate when they can provide 1st hand knowledge regarding a product or service in response to a member request for information.

•You may fill out Your Profile info with information about your company details instead of your personal details
•You may respond to specific product questions that are asked by forum members
•You MAY NOT self promote in any way other than within your signature block and avatar.

We will retain the right to remove links to material that we feel are inappropriate as we become aware of them.
BREEDERS - Links to personal websites with logo are permitted within user Signature Blocks. Direct “FOR SALE” references, links or discussion for the purpose of advertising puppies you have available IS NOT permitted. Unsolicited promotion of kennels or dogs for sale using the private messaging feature IS NOT permitted.
No Paid advertising is available on The Dobermann Station at this time. For additional information, please see the Advertising Policy Specifics listed below the rules.
When in doubt of whether something you want to post constitutes advertising, please contact a Moderator or the Admin Staff privately in advance for further clarification. Refer to the following points for general guidelines:
Dogs / Puppies –If the post contains the type of specific information typically found in a sales ad, and it’s related to a dog or service you are looking to sell, it doesn’t belong in the discussion forums.
Buyers - If you are looking to purchase a puppy, you need to start a thread discussion about what you are looking for and you may ask for good breeder recommendations and first hand experience with or knowledge of certain breeders.
Breeders - Direct references, links or discussion regarding puppies you have for sale IS NOT permitted anywhere on The Dobermann Station. The only exception to this is for older dogs available for adoption. These posts will be placed in the Rescue Section.
Breeders - ARE ALLOWED to share or discuss planned breeding strategies, and impending Litter Announcements as well as discuss for informational and educational purposes the whelping process share photos and updates about the puppies as they grow.
Dog Related Services – Forum Members may use the forums to ask for recommendations of dog related services such as trainers, handlers, groomers, vets, etc., and other members may answer those requests by suggesting themselves or their company, if their services fulfill the specific criteria of the original post. Members may not solicit other members for business. Members may respond to a request if it is in response to a direct, genuine inquiry.
Event Announcements – Members may post a notification of an upcoming event that may be of interest to fellow members, if the original poster does not benefit financially from the event. Such threads may not be “bumped” excessively.
Charities/Rescues Events – Announcements for charitable or fundraising events can only be made for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. Special exceptions may be made, at the moderators’ discretion and direction, for board-related events or fundraising activities in extraordinary circumstances.
Doberman Rescue Announcements - Posts regarding Dobermans available for adoption through IRS-registered dog rescues or placement programs are permitted in the appropriate Rescue forum. [/color]
