Benchmark: grazie! he is from Poland... he is Dura Lex Polonia 'F" litter... a Leo Von Markischen Land son. He is quite an impressive little big dude! We got him at 11 weeks, and that was 3 weeks ago! Bree: he has been through that one box in that photo and then again another one just like it and just two days ago he is in another sturdier one! but he is now officially a 'Box junkie".... he loves his boxes and jumps in and out and drags stuffies in and other stuff... He really likes his little box fort, just like my 5 yr old grand son does! He is a riot! Here he and Gemma doing their version of "Synchronized peeing'! Attachments:

He is standing in the yard right in front of his club house... he uses these three forts in the yard to 'hide out' from Gemma when they are in 'chase mode'... she is too big to get into them, so he runs in and hides and then makes a fast break for it, to get away.. here he is waiting for her to come out and 'tag him'... she is under the deck behind that tree! Ha Tina, if he's anything like his sister, he'll guzzle Polish Sausage .... The day we got Lilly from the Atlanta Airport we also visited a Bohemian Butchery and bought some genuine Polish Kilbasa, some wonderful Wesphalian Ham, and a bunch of german smoked sausage, and on our way home, because Delta and Customs gave us the run-around and it was so late, we were snackin on the sausage and some truly wonderful rye bread .... and Little Miss Polish Puppy was REALLY enjoying the bits and pieces we gave her as we were driving home .....

Diva go look under the photo's and videos - you'll see them there - I posted some I think last week .... Dave took somemore this past Saturday that I need to get posted as well!!! She is getting SO BIG - her ears are also standing all by themselves .... I must admit I think getting the crop done and then the ears healing up perfectly before posting works WAY, WAY, WAY BETTER than posting immediately and having to try get those ears healed!!! This time around its been a lot easier - we also got Rex at 11 weeks, but his were still smarting some and we had to keep applying Gold Bond Powder as he continuously seemed to have an itch and irritation on the ears ....
Oh, and believe me guys if you're EVER in the Atlanta area you need to get to Patak Meats out in Austell .... whenever we go to Atlanta WE ALWAYS stop there to get our supply of yummies .... we have NOTHING like that here in Birmingham, and us being foreigners, we look for the real stuff ....

Day, thats normaly how you do it, you get the ears done, then let them heal and wait til the stitches are out and then you start posting, you never post ears what are just cropped fresh. Always let them heal.

Believe me, I've seen people post ears that are still not properly healed - we were one of those doing it as per breeder's instructions - we also got him at 11 wks but because the ears had been posted from who knows when some areas were still smarting - and him being my first ever dog with altered ears, I wasn't any the wiser - I also didn't think to ask questions at the time as I had just lost my Airedale and was still trying to get over his death (poor Rex arrived here 3 days after Jimmy passed, and I WASN'T READY for another dog - but thanks to my husband, this poor animal arrived in an establishment that wasn't ready to deal with a new puppy - that is another story ..... suffice to say Lilly was welcomed under totally different circumstances and has been a pure pleasure to be around anyway, this lil girls ears stood within 2 weeks of permanent posting and we've had NO PROBLEMS at all ....

I also believe its because the ears were cropped at such an early age! Gemma's ears were cropped at 13 weeks and we got her at 15 weeks... hers are so long too, so it took till she was about 10 months maybe 11! Saava's are standing nicely when they stand, but they only last about a day so far. I have them unposted today and they are standing nicely. I am having far more trouble with the backer rod and tape this time. That red tape is for 'shit'! so I am not using it anymore. The white zonas tape is much more reliable and so is the stretchy flesh colored tape I used last time. I am reordering that stuff. The red stuff slips up and causes the foam inserts to bend and its making the ears stand funny.... time to resort back to the old tried and true ugly white zonas porous tape! I hate that stuff.. but it works! I am also going to use the glue in foam EZ earz method as it worked really well too! His ears stand so nicely I think the Ez Earz method will work well with him and its what I think I am going to stick too.... no pun intended! ;D
