Looking for suggestions that you have tried in regards to improving a dogs immune system. I'm failing to help my dog Pudg with his poor immune system badly!! I've been trying new diets after an alergy test was completed and I'm almost getting ready to try raw but would prefer to try other alternatives before that. I'm not up on the newer products and I realize that what works for one dog won't show results with another. But any offerings would be appreciated. Thanx Von.

No t sure on the immune system but have heard people saying that they had good results with skin allergies using a food based on salmon and sweet potatoes. I have switched mine not for allergies but for the cost to Natures Domain. It is salmon and sweet potato made by Diamond and Costco carries it. In Canada it sells for about 40 a bag so in US will likely be even less. Heard good things about it and its price before switching and my guys really seem to like it. Good solid poop and nice rust color too

Thanks Sharon I'm not sure I want to see Rust colored poop out of Pudg but he probably could do it hes pretty discusting!!!
I have a list of brand named foods and ingrediants from the allergy tests as to what I should buy so I'm just getting in to trying a few. I used PPP Selects with salmon and rice for years on him but I was using cooked & raw meats with it and he was allergic to many of them. The Diamond stuff isn't on the list I have but I'll look at it at the store today. Rusty poop huh? ewwww Von

Von, If you do a search on 'canine immune system support' you will find products and articles relating to this. I am not sure if the products work or not but it might be worth a try. Here is just one article that I found: www.allourpets.com/holistic/immune-system.shtmlGood Luck!

He began to improve but has now slipped backwards. I do think the oak trees are having a negative effect on him as pollen and leaves are appearing everywhere. If the rainy season doesn't help him I might have to consider shots to control this. First I will go to raw diets to give him a chance not to be shot up!! Von

Going to incorperate coco nut oil along with salmon oil for Pudg. I was reading how this combination can help with allergies. Gave him a bath last weekend using baby shampoo and plan on giving him another tomorrow and adding a apple cider vineger rinse this time. He seemed to be relieved after the bath and I'm gonna add in Quercetin to his diet. He is currently eating Salmon by T of the W. and its to early to tell if it will help him. Another 25 days should be enough to know if theres improvement. Damn we're in pretty ruff shape, we look like we're used up and put away wet!!! Can't wait for the 95+ degrees to lighten up. Von

Let us know how it goes Von. I know the grass pollen is pretty high right now with all the rain we have had.
