I usually try to get them a special treat or toy. Since Sam is a rescue and his real bday isn't know I celebrate his on my RIP girl Storm's birthday which is Jan 13.
This year I bought a small piece of yellow cake and let each Daph and Sam have just a spoon full, after singing happy birthday. The next day Daphne got sick and had to go to ER vet with hemorhaggic gastroenteritis. So no more people cake! It will be a doggy cake next time.

I don't make a birthday cake each year, but I do buy them gifts and wrap them each year.  Oh, and since it is usually me that takes pics, there are none for their birthdays as I am usually too busy trying to keep one of them away from the cake while the birthday girl or boy gets to have his first. lol!! |

We usually have a party with gifts and cake but this year was a bad year  I did find some pics though........ Dellon's first B Day cake and gifts  One of Bree's 1st B Day with her favorite gift and wearing her Birthday Hat that she HATED LOL!!  |
