So.
I have a new dog.
She is just about to turn 3 years old.. and shes very probably in whelp.
I was on facebook on sunday morning and someone posted in one of my groups saying how there was a poor girl in whelp up for sale. relationship problems or something and this poor thing was going to be moved about in whelp, she reported saying she only had 3 weeks to go.
I show Alex.. and he just says.. "go get her"
So.. 4.5 hours later i pitch up at this womans house, 230 miles away from my house.
See the girl, almost looks like she has just had puppies not about to have them but cant feel anything when i go over her.
Woman talks to me, her partner has left her, he is banned by law from the house, she is 3 days off her own due date to give birth and already has a 12 month old child.
She cant look after a newborn litter and a baby, the partner was meant to do the dogs.
She had loads of dogs one by one they were being rehomed.
She had advertised her for sale in whelp for £400, loads of people called mainly asking what they could sell the puppies for, when i called up i told her who i am, that i know what i am doing but explained that she wouldnt be with me forever but i would make sure the puppies and her found a good forever home.
She handed her over with the papers so if i want i can register them. Scanning her tomorrow and if she is she can start her prenatal foods etc.
The kicker is i guess that i called the KC to find out if she had a litter before, 8 months ago. This means this is a back to back litter. If I agreed with it i would abort the litter but I dont believe it is the right thing to do. She is in fine health, lovely temperament and a very sweet girl.
i'll have pictures at some point.. sire is KC reg but a Fawn, she is black but produces brown too.. so no idea what i am going to get.
I need my head seeing too!!
