That Taurus looks a lot like the Ruger LCP which I have seen in pink before I had a black Ruger LCP but I traded it in for something with better sights and single action capability. I'm not sure you'd like the sights on that Taurus even if you could buy one in Cali. Other drawbacks to the Taurus TCP and the Ruger LCP are the expense on .380 auto ammo, double action only with a hard trigger pull, and the fact that there is no safety on them except for that hard double action trigger pull. I never felt comfortable carrying a pistol with no safety. I went with the Bersa Thunder 380 for my carry pistol. It's still in 380 auto and it's a lot heavier than the Ruger LCP, but it has a safety, double or single action, nice sights, and I liked the style. And it's available in PINK! www.bersa.com/kits.html

Joe has a Springfield 40mm and i do like it, so we might just go with a second one like that. I held a Taurus, but it wasn't a good grip for me, so we wouldn't get one anyways We arent sure if we wanna go with a 9 mm or stay with the 40, so we just need one kind of ammo afterall. My poor mom will turn around in her grave if she knew we have now guns in the house LOL.

What is with the California CCW permit requirement that you have to prove a "need" to be carrying? Who says what a legitimate need is? Would they accept something like, "I am a wife and mother and need to protect myself so I can stay alive."?

Its 125 for the class i think and the rest its for the permit "sigh"

I saw the permit fees too. It's rediculous. In Maine, the permit is good for 6 years and costs something like $35 to renew. I'm hoping that the bill gets passed that will allow concealed carry to go reciprocal nationally. It's already passed the House. The Senate is next i guess.
