Have any of you here in the US looking into this company for your raw? www.raawenergy.com/RaawEnergy_prices.htmI have no local outlet here now for feeding raw, so would have to travel or ship it in, thus costing me way more than a good quality kibble right now. Dede: have you gone to Yahoo groups and searched for a local raw or prey model feeding group there? I know I found one in Gails' area, when I did a search for Virginia, and I know that they are nationwide and we have one in Phoenix... my raw provider from Phoenix (100 miles south) can ship me 70 lbs of raw frozen food overnight for $30 bux...the more she ships the cheaper it is... I buy 75lbs or so at a time. Overnighting something frozen in a cooler from the same state is really cheaper than driving the 100 miles I would have to drive to pick up the stuff in Phoenix. If you are in Florida? (I am not sure why I think that, but I thought you were) I am sure that there are Raw Feeding Yahoo groups out there.... Carnivore feeders list is one... raw feeding is another, BARF groups are also out there and Prey Model is another. Just a suggestion, as the pre made raw foods by anyone are really really pricey... I got some frozen chicken and coconut oil, and coconut from Tropical Traditions and it was great, but very pricey! I know that the gal I get my food from invested in a commercial grade meat grinder and she gets all the meat and pre grinds it up and packages it and sells it to all of us here in Arizona. She makes about $1/per pound of food she sells. She also drys her own treats and sells them too as dog shows... she is a Holistic Vet and a naturopath for Dogs. She is a full time breeder of Dog De Bordeaux's and she shows as well. she said it cut her food bill in half by grinding all her own meat.. some people who have alot of dogs, find that buying in bulk.. like a half side of beef or lamb, or goat, and 100 lb lots of chicken or turkey is cheaper and so they just grind up their own and sell some to others to offset the cost of their own food. Perhaps someone would go in with you on a half side of beef, or lamb.. etc...I know we did that too!
